I'm
an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the American University of Beirut since August 2016. I did a PHD in Applied Mathematics under the supervision of Pf. Laura Grigori (INRIA) at Sorbonne University (Universite Paris 6, Jussieu) funded by INRIA-Rocquencourt, October 2011 - December 2014, followed by a Postdoc at IFPen (IFP energies nouvelles), January 2015-June 2016.
My research covers different topics in Numerical Analysis from solving system of linear equation using Krylov Subspace methods (communication avoiding methods, enlarged Krylov Subspace methods, s-step methods,..) to solving partial differential equations using finite difference and finite element methods, and solving inverse problems. These problems arise from different real life applications such as plasma physics simulations, tumor growth, and polar firn gas concentrations.
I'm interested in Numerical Analysis, Applied Linear Algebra, Inverse Problems, Parallel Programing, High Performance Computing, and Partial Differential Equations.
